A. The first commercial LTE networks were launched by TeliaSonera in Norway and Sweden in December 2009; as of the end of October 2012, there were 117 commercial LTE networks in various stages of commercial service.
B. In the same way that 3G coexists with second generation (2G) systems in integrated networks, LTE systems will coexist with 3G systems as well as 2G systems.
C. The LTE specification provides downlink peak rates of 300 Mbit/s, uplink peak rates of 75 Mbit/s and QoS provisions permitting a transfer latency of less than 5 ms in the radio access network.
